cups and counting.

We measure what matters. Numbers updated by hand for the strong-draft launch; the data cloud feed is on the roadmap.

Traditional recycling manages waste after the fact. Our Kinds prevents it before it starts — through systems, not slogans.

Case studies

Three stories that prove the model.

  • Café — flagship trial

    The Corner Store, Subiaco

Perth's first 100% reuse cups café. Sustained 100% reuse for nearly two years. Over 100,000 single-use cups avoided. Broke even within the first month after switching. The insight: rip the band-aid earlier — the first 30% transition quickly; remove the choice and habits change.

  • Council — Global Cup Libraries

EMRC × White's Mill and Grind, Mundaring

The Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council partnered with Our Kinds ahead of WA's plastic ban stage two to launch the Global Cup Libraries project. A regenerative-economy approach: cups are repurposed at scale through Good Sammy Enterprises, creating disability employment alongside waste reduction.

  • Neighbourhood model — in progress

    The Work of One

A documented, costed operational model integrating six Just One Pillars, ready for replication. $100k founding design pool. Foundational sponsors named below.

Regulatory context

The tide is turning.

Reuserism isn't waiting for regulation — but regulation is closing in on single use from every direction.

  • WA Plastics Plan

Australia's most ambitious plastics plan. Single-use hot cups regulated from January 2023; stage two now rolling out.

  • Six of eight

Six of eight Australian states and territories have committed to ban single-use plastics. National momentum is building.

  • Packaging Covenant

Federal-level packaging targets are reshaping what's possible for cafés, councils, and corporates simultaneously.
